This may be the last typewritten form of the blog entries on the Psalms specifically. I realized this is a lot to cover and I never set out to be a commentator of the bible. I just love God and using the word to reflect upon my walk here on the earth. There is already a SoundCloud (1/2) reading of this one (2/2). I divided it into 2 by accident. Follow the numbered links.

Something I noted for myself in Psalm 18 is the description of the experience of salvation. Traditionally, it’s a choice in the Christian faith. At a proper age (usually 12), the child who has undergone classes decides whether or not they want to commit their life to the faith walk. Nowadays, (honestly not sure about training before) we have classes in churches and by accepting Jesus Christ as savior and being baptized you mark publicly and inwardly your commitment. Jesus is the path to salvation (your way up the mountain as a chaplain might say).

This walk is offered to adults past that choice age as well and there is, from my perspective, nothing wrong with re-committing yourself although I admit that some might want to handle that more privately.

It’s a good experience on the other side of that choice trials and tribulations and all.

I think this is a good place to stop.

This is all admittedly a very personal walk for me and I find I will enjoy simply recording the readings and thinking through things on my own at this time. Until next time, God Bless.
